Like others in the company, Mark Olesen Varnell is a graduate of the University of Guelph, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering.
Mark joined McEwen & Associates Ltd. in 2014, as an EIT shortly after graduating, and obtained his P.Eng, in 2019. He also holds a Well Technician Licence with Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, Environmental Monitoring and Reporting Branch, Water Well Industry Licensing.
As an engineer in our environmental division his responsibilities include assessment of environmental losses, document reviews, field investigations/inspections, sampling, preparation of remedial action plans and management of remedial projects. Remedial projects range from water or mould damaged buildings both residential and commercial, petroleum contaminated properties or highways, and restoration activities involving asbestos and other harmful materials.
